Time Table Committee:

Objective: Smooth and efficient management of academic programmes throughout the semester. Frequency of Committee Meetings: At the beginning of every semester. IQAC reporting member: 

 Responsibilities and Functions: 

  • Preparing the theory and practical timetables at the beginning of every semester with the active involvement of the committee members and heads of respective departments. 
  • Assigning common resources (classrooms, labs, tutorial rooms which are shared).
  • To collect Individual faculty’s teaching workload timetable and in the department from the HOD.
  • About the individual faculty and lab timetables, submit one signed copy each to the HOD, Principal, and the concerned faculty member/ lab in charge. The original set shall be retained with the timetable committee 
  • Maintaining a timetable committee file. 
  • Communicate and widely publicize the class timetables to staff and students. 
  • Attempting to resolve the conflicts within the faculty regarding the published timetable.

  • 5. Student Counseling and Mentoring Cell Objective: 
  • To provide the resources, counseling, and support necessary to assist with self-assessment, obtaining occupational information, exploring opportunities, and presenting effectively as candidates to face the issues in society. 
  • To counsel the students on academic, career as well as personal issues by respective mentors regularly and to keep track of the progress of the mentee. Frequency of Committee Meetings: Twice in an academic year. IQAC reporting member: Prof.Sana Matin Edroos .
    Responsibilities and Functions:
  • The counselor must deal with specific problems like depression, anxiety, bereavement, or a decision, crisis, or conflict.
  • Counselors should keep the counseling information confidential. 
  • To provide discipline-specific academic counseling and current information regarding the most efficient route for completing a degree. 
  • To prepare a mentor-mentee list by allotting students to concerned teachers. 
  • The detailed data of each allotted student should be collected in the format and maintained record.
  • Help to cope with the challenges in the professional course opted for, and improve their academic skills. 
  • Cater to key issues like time management, regular checks on academic performance, attendance, special achievements, and shortcomings as well as career guidance. 
  • The Parents/Guardians of poor attendee/performance students are called to meet the mentors and corrective and preventive measures are implemented for further improvement.
  • A compiled action-taken report should be submitted at the end of the academic year to the IQAC in the given format. 
  • Any difficulties or problems faced by the allotted student should be noted and taken to the concerned committee (ICC/ Anti ragging/grievance committee) for relevant action.
