To help ensure the smooth and orderly conduct of examinations in the institute as per guidelines issued by the University of Mumbai from time to time. Frequency of Committee Meetings: Twice in an academic year. IQAC reporting members:

Responsibilities and Functions: 

  • To educate and update all the stakeholders about the examination rules, regulations, gracing policies, revaluation rules, and ordinances by the examination committee.
  • To carry out examinations, publish results, and award certificates (provided by the University and Institute) to the students who pass the final examinations. 
  • To maintain the sanctity in the process of evaluating the performance of the students in the examination.
  • To define and frame faculty-wise criteria for continuous internal evaluation (CIE) 
  • To enable the learners covered under the PWD (Persons with Disability) category, aware of the benefits given to them at the time of examination. 
  • To keep a record of credits earned by students in extra credit courses at UG and PG level. 
  • To inform students to complete courses/activities to earn extra credits promptly. 
  • To collect result analysis from all departments and consolidate overall result analysis at the college level for analyzing the performance of students.
  • To keep a record of every issue/grievance related to the examinations and organize workshops and seminars for the improvement of the examination system. 

Procedure

Procedure for applying for University Examination forms: –

  1. Notification made by the University by issuing a circular.
  2. Sharing of circular information with the students on whatsApps group and college website.
  3. Students apply for the University Exams.
  4. Verification of the University Examination forms by the faculty in charge
  5.  The forms are made available by the Examination Department.
  6. Examination fee payment and the form submission at the Examination Department along with all required documents.
  7. The examination schedule is announced by the University and notified to the students.
  8. Issuing Hall tickets and Hall tickets correction if any.
  9. Conduction of the Examination.
  10.  Declaration of the results.
  11. Application for revaluation and hard copy for the answer books.
  12. Declaration of the re-revaluation result.

Procedure for resolving grievances of the students.

  1. The student submits the written application along with relevant documents if any.
  2. The application gets forwarded through college authorities (Principal, Vice Principal, HOD/ in Charge).
  3. The application gets submitted at the Examination office.
  4. The grievance redressal process begins.
  5. The application gets forwarded to the University if required.

(For Students with any query regarding exam form, the student should communicate to the concerned college & the only college will communicate with the University from its official email ID (CAPP 440) to examsupport@MUMBAI UNIVERSITY )

Important Instructions to Students

  1. Students, who are facing the problem “PRN Details Not Available…!” should communicate to their colleges
  2. If students facing the problem of “PRN Details Not Available…!” should forward their student and subject details through only college. We will accept student details only through colleges.

    Those students who held a copy case have filled their exam form for all subjects while filling the exam form. If up to the exam period a student doesn’t know the decision taken by the university/decision not taken by the university then students must take an exam for all subjects. Since whatever decision is taken by the university for copy case students, students have to accept the university’s decision.
