NSS / Social Responsibility Committee Objective:

  • Identify the needs and problems of the community and involve them in the problem-solving process. 
  • Practice national integration and social harmony.
  • Develop among themselves a sense of social and civic responsibility. 
  • To inculcate and develop social sensitivity, moral values, and professional ethics in students along with their academic formation to show responsible behavior to the professional community and society at large and to grow as responsible citizens of high moral values, making valuable contributions to profession/community/society, thus realizing a major thrust in the Vision and Mission of the Institute. Responsibilities and Functions: 

  • The NSS coordinator will plan NSS regular activities and a special camping program.
  • The program officer will ensure that NSS volunteers complete the prescribed hours in regular activities and participate in special camping programs as per requirements. 
  • He/she will divide the NSS unit into different groups and assign definite tasks targets and projects to each group. 
  • He/She will supervise the work of NSS volunteers. 
  • He/She will maintain the necessary records and registers prescribed by the program coordinator of the university. 
  • He/she will depute NSS volunteers for participation in various programs sponsored by the Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India such as National Integration Camps, Adventure Programmes, Republic Day Parade, and any other function organized by the NSS Regional Centre and concerned University.
  • He/she will liaise with the officials of the department for NSS projects and activities. He/she will also coordinate with the voluntary organizations working in the field of community development in general and youth work in particular. 
  • He/she will ensure the submission of accounts on time. The accounts may be audited by a chartered accountant or departmental auditor along with the utilization certificate. 
  • To arrange discussions and workshops for a group of students regularly on issues of social importance, ethical relevance, and moral values. 
  • To organize social service groups and clubs as well as outdoor field activities, to encourage and involve students in social service activities. 

 

       Industry-Institute coordination cell Objective:

  • To establish Industry-Institute initiatives, to provide exposure to the students to the ambiance and work culture of the industry. 
  • To enhance the employability skills of the students through exposure to new technologies and methodologies adopted by the MNCs. Frequency of Committee Meetings: Twice in an academic year. IQAC reporting member: Dr

Responsibilities and Functions

  • Coordinates with various manufacturing/ production, services, public sectors, and multinational industries to connect with our institution in arranging plant training, projects, and internships. 
  • To enhance collaboration and linkages with industry. 
  • To increase the college-arranged industrial training avenues for the students.
  • To ensure the absorption of the students by the industries, who has provided training for them? 
  • Invite experts from the industry to visit our Institution to deliver lectures.
  • Enters into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institute and industries to bring them closer emotionally and strategically. 
  • Organizes industrial visits for the faculty members and the students. 
  • Identifies opportunities for continuing education, short-term programs, and training needs of the industry to prepare the students accordingly. 
  • Identifies the sources of financial assistance such as Scholarships/fellowships instituted by Industries and assists the students in applying. 
  • Assists the departments to establish rapport with industries for taking up mini-projects.
