Library Advisory Committee Objective:

To advise, develop, and monitor policies for the overall development of the library in terms of collection development, processing, storage, and retrieval of information. Frequency of Committee Meetings: Four times in an academic year IQAC reporting member: Dr. N N Bagul Responsibilities and Functions: 

  • To guide the librarian in formulating general library policies and regulations that govern the functions of the library. 
  • To work towards modernization and improvement of library and documentation services.
  • To review library readership dept-wise and adopt measures to enhance readership.
  • To recommend to the authorities the fees and other charges for the use of the library. 
  • To recommend/justify / sanction / approve – withdrawal and weeding out of outdated material to the competent authority for a final decision in the matter. 
  • Conducting library orientation and information literacy programs for students and faculty members.
  • Membership in professional organizations and associations, like INFLIBNET, SWAYAM NPTEL, IITs, Foreign libraries, and industry if possible. 
  • To monitor and advise to prepare reports for percentage per day usage of the library by teachers and students (footfalls and login data for online access). 
  • To review annual expenditure for purchase of books/e-books and subscription to journals/e- journals. 
  • To submit the annual report on the functioning of the library. 14. IT facilities and website Management Committee Objective: 
  • To provide internet facilities to staff and students of Poona College and maintain the website of Poona College with the latest trends and technology with all supporting links. 
  • To disseminate the efforts and achievements of the college, students, and staff to the outside world through website updates. 
  • To display core values, vision & and mission program outcomes, program-specific outcomes, and course outcomes. Frequency of Committee Meetings: Once in a month. IQAC reporting member: Dr. Seema Nahid
    Responsibilities and Functions: 
  • Creating, maintaining, and updating the website of KUMM’s Vasantrao Naik College of Arts & commerce, Murud janjira.
  • Dept-wise/college events to be collected with detailed programs & photographs.
  • To place admission notifications, important circulars, college information, etc.
  • Collect information about the latest events in the institute, achievements, etc, and get them posted on the website by way of write-ups and pictures, etc. 
  • For all the completed events, a detailed report along with photographs and newspaper clippings is to be verified, collected and converted into appropriate formats and also required to mention the appropriate location where the information is to be hosted on the website. 
  • To monitor and maintain records of e-governance in areas of operation, administration finance and accounts, student admission and support, and examination.
  • To monitor computer and internet connectivity available at all departments and various locations on the campus to staff and students. 
  • Internet Issues may be addressed to the administrator and help to get access to an internet connection. 
  • Implementing website policies as designated by the convener and Principal.
