Roles and Responsibilities of Committees:

The College establishes a range of committees to ensure the effective and streamlined administration of activities. These committees not only facilitate the smooth functioning of the College but also provide faculty members with the chance to excel and enhance their extracurricular talents and administrative proficiencies. The Principal, in collaboration with IQAC, formed these committees for the complete academic year of 2023-24. The outgoing Conveners / In-charges of the committees shall hand over all the relevant documents/files to the new Conveners /in-charges in the presence of the Principal /HOD or a representative appointed by him. The handed-over documents shall be also signed by all the three mentioned above. 

Role of Committee Coordinator 

  • The coordinator holds the responsibility for formulating, overseeing, strategizing, and executing various policies about the committee.
  • Its purpose is to ensure consistent and seamless management of academic and administrative activities across the entire institute. 
  • The coordinator will draft the meeting agenda once the IQAC Coordinator and the relevant IQAC member’s approval has been obtained. The coordinator shall prepare minutes of the meetings.
  • Keeping records and compiling essential files/folders in both digital and physical formats. 
  • Creating and developing templates for gathering data/documents from different committees/departments. 
  • Forming a WhatsApp group for the committee, comprising committee members, department heads/students, if necessary, IQAC Coordinator, Vice Principals, and the Principal.
  • Establishing a committee-specific Gmail account and organizing all relevant documents within a dedicated folder on Google Drive. 
  • To share access to the Google Drive folder with respective IQAC members and IQAC coordinator.
  • Encouraging committee members to embrace and utilize digital solutions, including MasterSoft LMS, Google Suite, a website, WhatsApp, and other ICT tools, for tasks such as communication, document sharing, file management, data storage, and committee-related activities. 
  • To prepare the action plans as well as suggest measures for improvement. 1. Academic advisory and monitoring Committee: Objective: 
  • It is a centralized (Institute level) committee responsible for regulating and implementing different academic activities. 
  • To take care of all the academic affairs of the college, encompassing students, academic staff, academic planning, instructional & and delivery issues, co-curricular activities, discipline, and so on. Frequency of Committee Meetings: The committee shall meet as and when required and at least twice in a semester. IQAC reporting member: Dr. Bagul N N . Responsibilities and Functions:
  • To consider & follow the recommendations of the affiliating university of Mumbai, Mumbai. regarding the courses of study, syllabi of programs, examinations, and project modifications if any. 
  • To prepare the institutional academic calendar at the end of each semester for the next semester by collecting information from conveners of various committees and HOD under the guidance of the vice principal and principal. 
  • To ensure adherence to the dates mentioned in the academic calendar for conducting various activities by each department. 
  • To display and publicize the academic calendar for the information of students and staff.
  • Monitor the Institute’s assessment of the effectiveness of all of its academic programs, at both the departmental and program level. 
  • Guiding all departments on the organization of skill enhancement certificate courses. 
  • To monitor the functions of class teachers and the progress of the syllabus coverage of each class. 
  • Designing of a new lesson plan with innovative teaching methodologies incorporated in the lesson plan. 
  • To promote innovations in teaching teaching-learning process using ICT. 
  • Conduct periodic surprise visits to classes and check for quality in teaching. 
  • To prepare the report on the academic performance of students for placing before the CDC and encourage the students with academic awards and achievements. 
  • To encourage staff members to participate in workshops, seminars, conferences, FDPs, FIPs, orientation and refresher programs, etc., and monitor the faculty performance. 
  • Creating and formulating checklists/criteria to assess the academic performance of all departments, and offering recommendations for the “Best Department Award” to be presented to the Principal ahead of the annual prize distribution event. 
  • Regularly conducting academic and administrative audits (AAA) at the start and conclusion of each semester, involving both internal and external experts. 
  • Formulating action plans and proposing strategies for enhancement.
